On the way to go to Fukuoka from Bangalore, my mother and I spend a good time in Singapore.
We arrived at the Singapore Airport around 6:00 am. It was too early to go to the city, so we stayed at the Transit Hotel, and slept for a while.
Around 1 pm, we left the airport and went to the Goodwood Park Hotel. I had a reservation of the "High Tea" at the hotel's cafe.
When I was a "novice" editor, I came to Singapore to make the traveler's guide book. At the time, I stayed the hotel. The hotel was established 1900 and the historical building looks really elegant.
The atmosphere of the cafe was not remarkable but the food was great! The appetizers (snacks) and the sweets were nicely decorated and were really lovely!
My mother was impressed by the view of the poolside. The clear blue sky and the vivid green leaves.... According to my mother, those were quite different from Bangalore's leaves which are covered by dust!
Afterwords, we went to the Fullerton Hotel Singapore which is located the marina area. The former General Post Office building is transformed into the 5-star hotel.
I had never been there before. The interior was splendid and impressive.
I visited Singapore 3 or 4 times in recent 5 years. I recognized that the view of the area is changing every time I come.
It was the first time to see the unique building. I was amazed by the "sky ship" (?) on top of the three buildings!
We also visited the Fullerton Bay Hotel which was established a few months ago. My mother really loved the interior. It was very short stay but my mother was really happy to visit the city.
After the great time, we went back to the airport in the evening. Then we took the flight and arrived Fukuoka in the morning on 2nd Nov.
Compare to India, the city is really quiet. Nobody is working! No bikes! No horn! No dogs and cows! Too quiet!!
After the long trip, I was extremely tired, but couldn't relax. Few days ago, my sister requested me to do lecture at her own computer school.
Before the lecture, I went to a hair salon which I found on the Internet then went to my sister's computer school.
I lectured about "turning point" "milestone" of the business career.
I talked about my experience in Tokyo, New York, Washington D.C. and India.
I am not sure if the story was appropriate for the students (mixed generation) .
Anyway, I did my best. At least, my sister was impressed by the lecture.
After the lecture, my sister took me to our favorite Sushi restaurant! We enjoyed wonderful sashimi and sushi!
Unfortunately I was extremely tired, and my mind was unclear. I couldn't enjoyed the meal 100%. I must go there again!
